It was an old hotel with a lot of the original woodwork etc. Very cool. Slightly modernized-WiFi, USB, door lock-that was helpful. Room was clean and beds comfortable. It had a very good and simple continental breakfast- fruit, yogurt(excellent), muffins. Good location in downtown Brandon. Walking distance to a breakfast spot(eggs, pancakes, etc) and a good pub. Also nearby was a supermarket and drugstore. I could easily stay here a few days to explore the area. Also close to to Middlebury, Killington, Rutland, state parks, hiking. We enjoyed our stay.

We were very pleased. Peter always had something for us in the morning. He was a very good host and very friendly. It was a great stay. Enjoyed talking with him as he would always ask how we were doing.

The breakfast was an adequate continental breakfast. I had a chocolate glazed doughnut that was the freshest I've ever had. The room was a decent size..after reading other reviews I thought it was going to be tiny. We were traveling with a small dog and there was a large grassy field behind the motel which was perfect for exercising the dog.

Wow - this place is amazing. Beautiful cabins in a wonderful peaceful and secluded setting. Wonderful views! Comfortable beds and everything you need for a short or long stay! If we come back to the area, we will definitely stay again! Even delicious cinnamon twists on the first morning!
I didn't like that there was not a guest elevator.
I didn't like that there was not a guest elevator. We did not like
that there was not a TV. We were disappointed in the breakfast and
the total lack of attention we were given at breakfast. We were expecting to have personal service and not just a Super 8 breakfast that we could have had at one-half the price.
The location was central to everything and the staff couldn’t have been any nicer. I was traveling after foot surgery and needed some extra items to make my stay easier. When we arrived there were extra pillows so I could elevate my foot and an ice chest full of ice in our room! We arrived very late at night and there was Sid, the owner, waiting to welcome us. We highly recommend staying at The Brandon Inn!
Truly a great experience. The staff was so welcoming and delightful. They were also helpful in providing with tips on places to explore in vermont. The room was beautiful. The town of Brandon was very cute and there were many bars and breweries to visit. We went skiing at both killington and sugarbush during our stay and the drive to each were very easy and pleasant.
The location is very good with at least two excellent restaurants a moment's walk away and a number of local shops right around. Town has some beautiful architecture. The downstairs interior of the Inn is an impressive historic space. Staff were friendly. Room was clean and large enough for two to spread out in comfortably, with nice views of the park in back.
Lovely historical inn within walking distance of everything in the cute town of Brandon. Enjoyed the neighborhood. The bed, with its firm mattress, was comfortable. The curtains were sufficient. The staff seemed lovely. If you are a hiker, I recommend the Silver Lake trail, only about 15 minutes from the Inn.
Beautiful, historic building with a lot of charme and character. A nice pool in the back, free parking.
Personally, I liled the actual physical key in lieu of the common key card.
The room was spacious and original.
Keep in mind that pretty much everything is closed on Mondays in Brandon.
We didn't know a whole lot about the hotel before we went, but quickly discovered its historical roots. It was a good resting place, that had a great location in a small and beautiful town. We particularly enjoyed the staff. They were kind, friendly and helpful in every way.
This hotel takes you right back to the 19th century. What an historic place full of charm. Do not expect too much luxury or present day comfort but appreciate the loads if charm this old pkace has. And Brandin itself is a charming little old town too.
The Brandon Inn exudes a quaint, old-world elegance. The rooms are clean and comfortable but certainly not modern. The lack of TVs in the rooms might bother some. It was a plus as far as we are concerned.
